Woof & Woofer was built to solve a problem every dog owner knows: the internet is full of dog content, but almost none of it is actually useful.
Generic breed articles that tell you a Labrador is “friendly”. Product roundups that are just affiliate dumps. Local directories with listings that haven’t been checked since 2019. Health content written by people who have never met a vet.
We built something different.
What we are
Woof & Woofer is a UK dog ownership platform built around the full lifecycle of having a dog -- from the moment you’re thinking about getting one, through every stage of their life, and through the harder moments too.
That means 260 breed guides written with genuine depth. The Waggazine, a monthly magazine that treats dog owners like adults. A local services directory we’ve actually checked. Tools that help you make real decisions: cost calculators, vaccination planners, age calculators. And a growing marketplace where independent UK makers can sell directly to dog owners who care about quality.
We cover the stuff other sites skip: honest breed health information, real grooming costs, the actual difference between insurance policy types, what a good dog trainer looks like versus a bad one. We don’t write to fill pages. We write because dog owners deserve better information.
Our editorial standards
Everything on Woof & Woofer is written to be accurate, useful, and honest. Health content is cross-referenced against RCVS, BVA, and WSAVA guidelines. Breed information draws on Kennel Club data and veterinary research. Local listings are checked before they go live.

Who built it
Woof & Woofer was founded by Claire Duffield, a UK entrepreneur with a background in marketing and creative agency work. The platform is based in Whitstable, Kent -- which is, objectively, an excellent place to be a dog.
