Editorial Policy

Who produces our content

Content on Woof & Woofer is produced by our editorial team, reviewed for accuracy, and updated regularly. Health, nutrition, and veterinary content is cross-referenced against guidelines from the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS), the British Veterinary Association (BVA), the World Small Animal Veterinary Association (WSAVA), and peer-reviewed research where available.

Breed content draws on Kennel Club registration data, health survey results, and breed-specific research. We cite sources directly where we reference specific statistics or findings.

Local services listings are checked for accuracy before publication. We verify that businesses are operating and that contact information is correct. If you notice an error in a listing, please contact us.

Our position on accuracy

We do not publish content we cannot verify. Where expert opinion is divided, we say so. Where guidance has changed, we update our content to reflect current consensus rather than leaving outdated information live.

We make mistakes. When we do, we correct them promptly and transparently. If you believe something on this site is factually incorrect, please contact us at hello@woofandwoofer.co.uk with the relevant URL and the correction you believe is needed.

Affiliate links and commercial relationships

Woof & Woofer earns commission from some of the products, services, and providers we link to. This is disclosed on every page where affiliate links appear.

Our commercial relationships do not influence our editorial recommendations. We do not feature products because we earn commission from them -- we feature products because we believe they are genuinely useful to UK dog owners. If a product does not meet our editorial standards, it does not appear on this site regardless of commercial arrangement.

We participate in the Amazon Associates programme and the Awin affiliate network. All affiliate relationships are disclosed in accordance with ASA and FCA guidelines.

AI and our content process

Woof & Woofer uses AI tools as part of its content production workflow. We disclose this directly and transparently.

AI assists with research, drafting, and scaling content production. All AI-produced content is reviewed by a human editor before publication. No content goes live without human sign-off. We do not publish AI-generated content that has not been checked for accuracy, tone, and editorial quality.
