Dogs welcome year-round at Studland Bay. Lead required on beach May to September, off-lead under close control October to April. Lead required in dunes and heathland March to July for ground-nesting birds and sand lizards. A year-round off-lead area is also designated. Dogs can swim in the sea off-lead all year. This is a National Trust lead requirement, not a ban. Dorset Council PSPO also applies.
