A large former country estate on the western edge of Blackburn, run by Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council, with open parkland, mature woodland, a visitor centre, café and a network of easy, mostly flat paths including a route alongside the River Darwen. Popular with local dog walkers for its size and variety of terrain, from open grassland to shaded woodland trails.
