About this walk
This shingle and saltmarsh reserve has a strict seasonal dog policy. Dogs are banned entirely from Blakeney Point between 1 April and 31 August for nesting terns and avocets, and again from 1 November to mid-January for seal pupping. Outside those windows (mid-January to March, September to October) dogs may walk the shingle spit on a short lead. Year-round, dogs can walk the beach east of Cley car park and at Salthouse.
