About this walk
Holkham's vast sand and pinewood nature reserve welcomes dogs all year. From 1 April to 31 August a lead-only rule applies in the most sensitive nesting areas, though most of the beach stays open for off-lead walking under close control outside those roped cordons. Wide sands, boardwalked pine woods and dune paths make it an easy, scenic walk, but keep dogs well clear of cordoned tern and plover zones in summer.
