About this walk
Box Hill is one of Surrey's best known National Trust dog walks, with chalk grassland, woodland and heath rising steeply above the River Mole. Well behaved dogs are welcome throughout, kept on lead around livestock and during ground nesting bird season, with scope to run off lead elsewhere under close control. Routes range from an easy hilltop stroll to a steeper climb from the Stepping Stones, and there's a pay and display car park.
