About this walk
A green corridor following the River Cole for four miles through south Birmingham, taking in wetlands, grassland, woodland and heath. The route passes Sarehole Mill, the Tolkien-linked watermill and millpool at Hall Green, giving the walk a strong sense of local history alongside its wildlife interest. Flat, mostly well-surfaced paths make it an easy amble for dogs and owners of all fitness levels.
