About this walk
Bawsey is a reclaimed sand-and-gravel quarry east of King's Lynn, now a patchwork of turquoise lakes, silver birch woodland and open heath threaded with informal paths. It is a genuine local favourite for dog walkers, particularly out of season, with a proper wild feel and endless variations on a two- to three-mile circuit.
