A varied and surprisingly wild landscape around a lake and the meandering River Cole in Kingshurst, designated a Local Nature Reserve in 2002. Wildflower grasslands and woodland support owls and bats, and the reserve doubles as a well-used community green space with a lakeside circuit that also hosts a weekly parkrun.
