About this walk
A former opencast coal mine transformed into a striking wetland nature reserve on the edge of Leeds, managed by the RSPB. Flat, easy paths loop around lagoons and reedbeds, with the reserve's giant walking dragline excavator, Oddball, as a distinctive landmark. A great flat walk for birdwatching and dog walking alike.
