About this walk

Wentwood is the largest ancient woodland in Wales, managed by Natural Resources Wales, spanning high ground between Chepstow and Newport. Waymarked trails wind through conifer plantation and broadleaf woodland past Wentwood Reservoir, with good waymarked circular routes of varying lengths starting from the main car park, plus wide forestry tracks that are easy underfoot for longer rambles.
