About this walk
The Kymin is a wooded hilltop above Monmouth cared for by the National Trust, topped by the Round House (1794) and the Naval Temple, with sweeping views over the Wye and Usk valleys towards the Black Mountains and the Malverns. A network of short woodland trails loops from the car park through mixed woodland and open parkland to the viewpoints, making it an easy circular outing with a genuine sense of occasion at the top.
