About this walk
Bacton Woods, also known as Witton Woods, is a Forestry England site of mixed conifer plantation and broadleaf blocks north-east of North Walsham. Waymarked trails and a wider network of forest tracks give a genuinely quiet woodland walk away from the coastal crowds, with red squirrels occasionally reported and plenty of soft going underfoot.
