Thomas Hardy country at its most atmospheric - a mix of Forestry England conifer plantation and open Egdon Heath, climbing gently to Rainbarrow with views over the Frome valley. Sandy underfoot in places, with plenty of quiet spurs. Adder warnings apply in summer on the heath.
