About this walk

Middleton Lakes is an RSPB nature reserve on the Warwickshire/Staffordshire border near Tamworth, created from former gravel workings beside the River Tame and the Birmingham and Fazeley Canal. The reserve mixes wetland lagoons, wildflower meadow, wet woodland and riverside paths, with several circular trail options and a bird hide overlooking the main lake. It is a popular, flat, easy-going walk for dog owners looking for wildlife interest close to the M42/M6 Toll corridor.
