Dungeness National Nature Reserve
Dogs are allowed at Dungeness National Nature Reserve but must be kept on a lead at all times. The reserve is a large shingle landscape with marked footpaths and boardwalks, jointly managed by Natural England, RSPB and the Romney Marsh Countryside Partnership.
Hole Park Gardens
Dogs on leads are welcome at Hole Park Gardens near Rolvenden and Sissinghurst, across its 16 acres of gardens and 10 acres of woodland walks, per the estate's visitor information. The site is seasonal, open April to October.
Blean Woods Nature Reserve
Blean Woods National Nature Reserve is managed by the RSPB, not the National Trust, and covers ancient woodland roughly four miles inland from Whitstable. Dogs are welcome on the white waymarked trail, but the RSPB's own guidance asks owners to keep dogs on a lead at all times to protect nightjar and other ground nesting birds.
Hever Castle Estate Walk
Hever Castle Estate Walk is a 3.5-mile circular route through Wealden woodland and River Eden meadows in Kent. Dogs are welcome throughout the walk and in the castle grounds for a small additional fee. The river meadow sections provide off-lead space and water access for dogs. Flat paths suitable for all sizes.
