About this walk
This lakeshore park at the southern tip of Windermere offers grassy parkland, woodland fringes and lake frontage for dog walks. Dogs must stay on a lead in the main parkland, along lakeshore paths and near the cafe, but the south meadow allows off-lead exercise when the resident cattle are not grazing there. Dogs can also swim off-lead in the lake, though algae blooms are an occasional summer risk.
