About this walk
A large RSPB wetland reserve of lakes, reedbeds and woodland near Castleford, formed by historic mining subsidence. Well-surfaced paths and boardwalks lead around the main lake and through pockets of woodland, popular with birdwatchers and families alike, with several hides along the route.
