About this walk

A natural heritage park surrounding the ruins of 15th-century Craigmillar Castle in south-east Edinburgh, with grassland, scrub and woodland paths looping around the scheduled monument. The council leaflet asks visitors to keep dogs under proper control and to bag and bin waste; dogs are welcome throughout the surrounding park, though only assistance dogs are permitted inside the roofed areas of the castle itself (a separate paid Historic Environment Scotland attraction within the park).
