About this walk
The Highams Park loop is an accessible southern entry point into Epping Forest that is often quieter than the Chingford Plain routes. At 6.4km the route starts from Highams Park station and enters the forest, crossing the open grassland of Highams Park before entering the dense mixed woodland of Bury Wood. The lake at Highams Park is a popular swimming spot for dogs. Dogs are off lead throughout.
