About this walk
A 780-acre National Trust estate around a picturesque ruined castle, with woodland, parkland and formal gardens offering miles of walking. Dogs on leads are welcome throughout the estate, garden, shop and tea room, but only assistance dogs may enter the house, old castle and walled garden. Leads protect grazing livestock and ground-nesting birds. Water bowls, a paw-rinsing spray and waste bins are provided.
