About this walk
Hainault Forest sits on the London and Essex border and is jointly managed by Essex County Council and the London Borough of Redbridge. The 5.6km Lambourne End circuit is the most accessible route in the forest, starting from the Lambourne End car park and looping through mixed oak and hornbeam woodland, across open grassland and around the edge of the fishing lake. Dogs are welcome off lead throughout.
