About this walk
A quiet permissive walk on the fringe of the Tabley estate west of Knutsford, taking in the mere, Old Hall fields and a stretch of the Cheshire Ring canal beyond. Historic parkland trees, big open pasture and the moody ruin of Tabley Old Hall on its island give the walk a distinctive atmosphere, and it makes a good change of pace from the busier Tatton loops.
