Newhailes is a National Trust for Scotland estate on the edge of Musselburgh, with an 86-acre landscape of designed woodland, parkland and fields around the 17th-century Newhailes House. Dogs on leads are welcome across large parts of the grounds, including the woodland, field perimeters and the fields in Lodge Park, making it a relaxed estate walk close to Edinburgh's eastern boundary.
