About this walk
A patchwork of reclaimed salt-workings turned into 900 acres of accessible countryside on Northwich's doorstep, taking in Carey Park, Ashton's Flash, Neumann's Flash and Furey Wood. The wide surfaced tracks and open meadows are ideal for dogs, and the mosaic of pools, reedbeds and young broadleaf plantations pulls in a genuinely good bird list. A local's walk, quiet outside weekends.
