Oxleas and Shepherdleas Woods are a rare survival of ancient woodland in south-east London, covering around 121 hectares and forming part of the Green Chain Walk. This 6.4km circular route threads through both woods, taking in the cafe at Oxleas Meadows, the wooded slopes of Shooters Hill ridge and the open grassland of Eltham Park North. Dogs are welcome off lead throughout both woods.
