About this walk
Aira Force is a National Trust waterfall walk on Ullswater, not a flat park stroll. The full circular route through Gowbarrow Park runs about 4.5 miles, with a well-surfaced start giving way to narrow paths, steep drops and flights of steps once past the falls, plus muddy, bracken-covered fell sections. Sheep and sometimes cattle graze the land, so keep dogs on a short lead and always in sight.
