About this walk
A hidden-corner-of-Cheshire walk along the fast-flowing River Dane between Wincle and Danebridge, on the fringes of the Peak District. The route drops through hay meadows to the packhorse bridge, follows the river through mature broadleaf woodland to Hangingstone Farm, and climbs back via quiet lanes. The Ship Inn at Danebridge welcomes muddy dogs at the end.
