About this walk
A 97-hectare ancient woodland remnant near Hamstreet, with three way-marked circular trails (1 to 2.5km) through coppiced hornbeam and mixed woodland, home to nightingales, dormice and rare butterflies. The reserve is popular with dog walkers and dog waste bins are provided, though official confirmation of an off-lead policy could not be found; horses also use the bridleways, so keep dogs under close control.
