Cave Hill Country Park overlooks Belfast from the north, its dramatic basalt cliffs and heathland offering some of the best views in the city. The signature Cavehill Trail climbs steadily to McArt's Fort at the summit, a proper leg-stretcher for fitter dogs, while gentler estate and castle trails suit calmer outings. Cattle graze parts of the park for conservation, so dogs must stay close and under control.
