About this walk

A flat, flood-plain park on the River Irwell in the Irwell Valley (Bury borough), with a reservoir, wetland areas and wooded fringes. Paths can be muddy after rain given the low-lying ground. Well used by local dog walkers and linked to the wider Kingfisher Trail and Prestwich Forest Park network. No formal exclusion zones were found, so treat sports or wildlife areas with normal care.
