Porthcurno is the beach postcard Cornwall photographers cannot resist: white shell sand and turquoise water beneath the Minack's cliffside terraces. For dogs, the arithmetic is simple. Porthcurno and neighbouring Porthgwarra restrict dogs during July and August only; Sennen, up the coast, runs a longer May to September ban, and Gwynver, right beside Sennen, welcomes dogs all year.

Is there a dog-friendly walk at Porthcurno?

That makes the shoulder seasons the time to come. From September to June you can walk the Porthcurno Beach and Minack Circular from our directory, a 3.5 mile coast path loop with the dog, and finish on the sand itself.

Where can you eat with a dog near Porthcurno?

The far west keeps its cafes close to the surf: TJ's at Sennen, the Tidal Coffee Shop and Sennen Cove Cafe lead the 12 reported dog-friendly spots in our directory. In July and August, base the beach part of the day at year-round Gwynver and keep Porthcurno for the clifftop view.
